Service Description

A 8-session pottery workshop for both newbies and those who've got some skills already. You'll get into everything from wheel throwing to the finer points of trimming and glazing your awesome pots. In Session 1, you'll jump right into the basics, like centering your clay, opening it up, and pulling up the walls of your pot. This is where your pottery journey really starts. Get ready to get your hands dirty and master those essential skills. Session 2 is where you'll really start to fine-tune everything you've learned. With some hands-on help, you'll work on perfecting your techniques and making your pots look even cooler. In Session 3, you'll learn how to trim your pots to make them look and function even better. This session is all about those little details that turn your work from good to awesome. You'll get tips on trimming that will make your pots look polished and professional. In Session 4, you'll get into glazing your creations. This is where it all comes together as you use different glazing techniques to add color, texture, and a protective finish to your pots. By the end, your pots will be ready to use or display, and they’ll look amazing. The last 4 weeks will be dedicated to learning additional skills to enhance your craft. From throwing different shapes to making decorative techniques, our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way. Alternatively, you can choose to focus on honing your throwing and trimming skills for the ultimate mastery of your craft. Cancellation Policy

Makers Quarter: Studio Policy & Terms of Service 1. Booking and Payments To secure your spot at the wheel, all classes, workshops, and memberships must be paid in full at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards and digital payments via our secure online portal. 2. Cancellations and Rescheduling We understand that life happens! However, as a small studio with limited kiln space and wheels, we adhere to the following: More than 7 days notice: A one-time free reschedule. If you can’t attend the event, please get in touch. If you give us 7 days notice or more we will issue a refund in the form of a voucher to use on another date. If after 7 days we will attempt to fill your place for you in order to issue you a refund in the form of a voucher. Should we be unable to fill your place then unfortunately no refund will be issued. Looking forward to seeing you there! No-shows: Forfeit the full class fee. 3. The "Nature of Clay" (Breakage Policy) Pottery is a science and an art. While we take the utmost care of your work: The firing process involves extreme temperatures and chemical reactions that are beyond our control. By submitting work for firing, you acknowledge the following: • Inherent Risks: Pottery is subject to cracking, warping, bloating, or exploding due to air bubbles, moisture, or structural stress. • Glaze Results: Final Makers Quarter is not responsible for pieces that crack, explode, or experience glaze defects during the firing process. If a piece is damaged due to instructor error, we will offer a credit or a makeup session to recreate the piece. 4. Collection of Work Storage space is a premium! You will be notified via email when your pieces are ready for pickup (usually 6-8 weeks post-class). We can only hold finished work for 30 days. After that, unclaimed pieces will be donated or recycled to clear space for new creators. 5. Studio Safety & Conduct Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Respect: We maintain a collaborative, inclusive environment. Any behavior that is disrespectful to staff or fellow students will result in removal from the studio without a refund. Health: If you are feeling unwell, please stay home and contact us to discuss your options. ~
