2 Tapas Dishes & Dip Bowls: Formed using pinch and coil techniques, sized for olives, dips, oil, and small bites.

Slab Rolling & Forming: How to work with soft clay sheets to create flatware that won't warp during firing.

Texturing & Detailing: Incorporating organic textures, stamps, or smooth minimal rims to match your aesthetic.

Workshop Details

Skill Level: Absolute beginners welcome. No prior pottery experience required.

Duration: 2.5 hours

What’s Included: High-fire clay, use of studio tools, professional double-firing, clear/food-safe studio glaze application.

Pickup: Finished pieces are left at the studio to dry and undergo two kiln firings. Your food-safe, dishwasher-friendly set will be ready for pickup 6-8 weeks after the class.

Just to note Sometimes, pieces may unfortunately crack, break, or not survive the kiln. This can be due to a number of factors - including moisture, air bubbles, thickness, or tension in the clay - especially for first-time pottery work.
If something you made is missing or damaged, it’s likely due to this part of the process. We completely understand how disappointing that can be, especially after putting in so much effort.
Please know that this is a normal part of working with ceramics, and even experienced potters have pieces that crack and warp. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch

Our beautiful, brand new studio is in the heart of Manchester City centre. For those of you travelling from out of town, we are just a two minute walk from Picadilly train station.
Aprons are provided however please wear clothing and footwear that you don't mind getting a bit of clay on. That way you can really go for it!
