What you'll do.....

Have a garment you love and wish you could make again? This three-part sewing course in Manchester city centre shows you how to clone your own clothes, turning a favourite item into a reusable sewing pattern and a finished replica you can remake again and again.

This course is designed for intermediate sewists who are already confident using a sewing machine and have some experience making garments. Your chosen item should be a simple style, such as a top, dress, or pair of trousers, without complex details like collars, heavy tailoring, or tricky fastenings. If you’re unsure whether your garment is suitable, guidance is available before booking. What to expect:

  • Draft a basic pattern directly from your existing garment.

  • Make a toile to test fit and refine adjustments.

  • Sew a finished version of your cloned piece.

  • Learn the fundamentals of pattern drafting and garment fitting.

  • Understand how to translate ready-made clothes into reusable patterns.

By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a finished garment, your own custom-drafted pattern, and the confidence to clone more of your wardrobe independently. It’s a rewarding next step for sewists ready to deepen their skills and gain creative freedom from shop-bought patterns.

What you'll get

A completed Cloned version of your favourite Garment!
